Get Involved

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers are the heart of our organization and what makes Habitat so successful. We need volunteers to help us on AND off the build site. How you choose to volunteer will be fun, challenging, and rewarding.
We welcome all skill levels and experience to help build simple, affordable homes and help us behind the scenes. Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity volunteers develop new skills and have fun while improving the lives of families within our community.
With a variety of positions to fill it is easy to find the right fit, there is truly something for everyone in the following areas:
Construction Volunteer: Grab a hammer and build a home. There are places for people without experience and those willing to lead others
Bring It Home: Corporate Challenge: NEW for 2012: employees from local businesses volunteered to raise awareness about Habitat and raise funds to purchase materials that they then used to build a Habitat home. Think of this like a charity walk or bike ride for which volunteers raise critical funds for a cause — instead of walking, they build houses. We’re planning for 2013 build season. Visit the Bring It Home page to learn how you can bring your team to build with Habitat and bring families into affordable homes.
Adminstration-Operations Volunteer: a lot happens behind the scenes at Habitat to manage operations and complete a wide range of administrative tasks, such as Marketing and Publicity, Advancement, Family Selections, Family Support and Congregation Relations.
Faith Community: faith organizations organize a variety of activities from simply sharing Habitat news to delivering snacks at build sites to organizing youth group fundraisers
Re-Store: volunteer opportunities are open at GMHfH’s newest venture, Habitat ReStore.
