 2 of our younger partners build sweat equity for their family
 Habitat for Humanity, a worldwide organization, has built more then 250,000 homes over 26 years. Habitat recipients give 150 hours of sweat equity per adult (up to 300 hours) to build homes, then purchase them at cost with no interest loans, that in turn build more Habitat houses. We call it a hand up.

Volunteers are the heart of GMHfH.
They come in all sizes, skills and interests. They power the Board, committees, sub
committees, and events that keep this
organization alive and vibrant. By far our largest group of
volunteers are our builders - those who dig, seal, measure, nail, side, shingle, mud, tape, paint and clean up-who often learn on the job guided by talented supervisors and crew leaders, who also volunteer their time and energy.
We salute the nearly 500 individuals who joined us in some way to make five homes a reality in 2007:

SAVE THE DATE - August 10th, 2008 |
The annual Habitat summer Picnic at Shelburne farms is
Sunday August 10th. Family friends and coworkers get together for fun,
barbeque, and a good time on the shores of Lake Champlain all the proceeds
go towards purchasing building materials for Habitat home building this
year. Tickets will go on sale soon. Stay tuned!
